The ultimate job interview

October 31, 2008

I know all my readers may have already voted and have probably already made up their minds about who they are voting for. That being said, I found this video that totally encapsulates why I have supported Obama since 2006. He gives me hope that intelligent, dedicated people may actually decide to invest in public service instead of private companies. He understands the plight of America (and my generation) and he completely understands the GLOBAL perspective. I honestly think he’s the right man for the job. Anyway, if you’re interested, watch this video of an interview with Google last year. Even if you’ve already made up your mind, maybe this might help ease your mind when the numbers come in.

Things I learned today:

October 21, 2008
  • Make sure you glance for political buttons on customers from now until the election.
  • Kitchen-Aid mixers really DO make a difference.
  • Heroes has grown extremely predictable this season.
  • Remaining cautiously optimistic.
  • Tattooed people, unite!
  • Still haven’t mastered the old “CALM DOWN” thing yet.
  • Grandma will wash anything near my clothes hamper.
  • I really need to find a positive channel for my nerdy biology knowledge.
  • Always pick out your own gift card. If you leave it to the cashier, it might smell like roses.
  • Jim Halpert has been that thing missing in my life all this time.

Come on, come on, come ON!

October 20, 2008

I’ve decided that every problem I’m dealing with right now is due to a lack of patience on my part. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of the journey. I mean, the past few years have been fantastic and I wouldn’t trade the lessons I’ve learned along the way. It’s just…sometimes I hate the inbetween stages.

Election. Ugh.

October 17, 2008

This election is just completely stressing me out. I can’t watch the news to even catch up because one of the stories will SEND ME OVER THE EDGE.

I watched the final debate and felt frustrated that the answers Obama gave will still not satisfy most McCain supporters. I doubt anything he says ever will.

If you are a Republican and I love you, you should know that our politics will never get in the way of the love I have for you. So anything I write here has nothing to do with you.

“What if I’m the bad guy?”

October 13, 2008

I shared this on my Facebook but I’m putting it here for those of you who haven’t seen it yet. The release date for Twilight got bumped up due to the delayed release of the latest Harry Potter movie. Therefore, on November 21st, Twilight will be coming to a theatre near you! Aren’t you so excited? Watch the new trailer!!!

I’m on my way

October 6, 2008

Got my project back tonight. I was really proud of it and praying for a good grade that reflected how I felt about what I had put into it. We had to turn in chapter summaries and I hand-wrote mine, which scared me when I looked around the day we turned them in and most people had typed theirs! I got my summaries back with a big compliment for my…spelling. HAHA! Such a strange thing in my design class. Anyway, that grade factored into the project grade – accounted for 15 points of it, actually. So yay for my spelling because overall, I got a…
