Just say NO to nay-sayers!

I have been thinking so much about the power of words. I’m taking this class and we were talking about things people have said to us in the past that really affected how we felt about ourselves. I am a firm believer that you have the power within yourself to either let those things in or let them bounce right off. I am sad to say that I have let those things in more often than not.

We talked a little bit about how much more enlightening those comments from people are about THEIR hearts rather than yours. I think that is so true. When someone says something that cuts me to the core, it takes a second but I eventually realize just how much they were shining a spot light on their issues.

The thing is, I let comments from nay-sayers in to my very core long ago and let it affect my inner dialogue. I am not doing that anymore. I literally do not have time to let everyone tell me what I am capable of when I know I have the power to go find out for myself.
